The Collier Fruit Growers Association (CFG) meets at 7:00 PM on the third Monday of each month at the Golden Gate Community Center - 4701 Golden Gate Blvd. Come join in on the fun, fruit tasting table, and informative lecutures.  The program begins at 7:30 PM and the Board of Directors meets at 6 PM.


Our next meeting is on Monday, May 21st at 7pm at the Golden Gate Community Center.  During our meeting, Mr. Ryan Barr will provide an interesting slide-show about his trip to Bali and Thailand.

Mission Statement
The Collier Fruit Growers Council is an active non-profit organization dedicated to inform, educate adn advise its members as well as the public, as to the popagation of the many varieties of fruts that can be grown in Collier County.  The council will actively engate in the introduction, propagation and distrobution of the many commonly grown fruits, as well as the rare tropical and subtropical fruits grown throughout the world.  The collier Fruit Growers Council will encourage members to extend their cultivation and provide a basis for researching and producing new cultivars and hybrids, whenever possible. CGFC functions with out regard to race, color, or nation origin.

$2,000 GRANT: Following our mission statement, CFG, Inc will make available a grant of $2,000.  Applications are due by Monday, April 16th, and awards are to follow a board review by May 21st. Application does not guarentee award.  An application will be available at the February and March meeting (please see below for required information).  The grant is open to members in good standing and will be provided to projects located in our Collier County Community which forward the mission of the CFG, Inc.  CFG, Inc. Board of Directors will award grants based on primarily greatest support of CFG's mission, overall grant merit and most efficient project budget.  A total dollar amount of $2,000 will be awarded from CFG, Inc. to one or more winning projects. 

Please include the following information with your application:
- Submitting member name and contact information (you may become a member in order to qualify for the application process).
- Requested grant amount and overall project budget beyond grant
- Project budget:  Please itemize project expenses and include any and all delivery charges and labor charges and who shall receive compensation from this grant and at what rate.  Please include project time line.
- Who will this project serve
- How many persons will benefit from this project?
- Is this project aligned with the mission of the CFG, Inc.?
- How will this project improve CFG Inc. community visibility?
- How will this project be sustained?
- Submitting member:  How have you supported CFG, Inc. in the past?

Fruit Club Purpose
CFGC seeks to inform the public about the merits of fruit common to this region, and enourages the cultivation, collection, propagation and growth of fruit.

Benefits of Membership
Monthly meetings are educational and fun. They include a guest speaker, a tasting table of ripe fruit, fruit tree raffle and a chance to share experiences with others.  Membership is $25 (includes entire family), or $15 prior to February 1st. Commercial membership is $100, and includes a
